     Bad breath can be extremely debilitating, some people may wash their teeth regularly, but not with good results, as the foul smell is persistent.

     The cause: alcoholism, smoking, cavities or dentures. So what to do? Here are 5 tips to effectively fight halitosis.

1.     Drink lemon juice

     Bad breath is mostly due to the presence of bacteria in the mouth. That's why drinking lemon juice can be very effective. Its antiseptic virtues will help to restore fresh breath at any time of the day.

     This 100% natural solution has the double advantage of being both effective and pleasant. Mixed in a glass of water, cistron juice can be an everyday drink.

     For even more efficiency, you can bite directly into a lemon. But beware, it is extremely acidic.

2.     Prepare a solution based on baking soda

     As you may already know, baking soda is an indispensable product in the home. It can whiten teeth, relieve heartburn but also effectively fight against bad breath.

     To do this, mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass and make a gargle. You can repeat the operation as many times as necessary.

     It is because it is a powerful antibacterial that baking soda helps to remove bad breath. If you do not want to smell like tobacco anymore, this method will not be of much use.

3.     Chewing parsley

     Parsley can be used in many different ways to fight bad breath. You can chew the leaves after a meal.

     Because it is rich in chlorophyll, parsley will capture odors and destroy them. Chlorophyll reduces the production of gas and toxins from digestive tracts.

     If you like the taste of parsley, you can use it to accompany your meats, salads, or vegetables. In addition to giving you good breath, parsley is excellent for your health.

     Last option: infuse fresh parsley in a cup of hot water, let it cool, then gargle with the preparation.

4.     Use vegetable charcoal

     Vegetable charcoal is a dietary supplement used against stomach aches. It has the virtue of absorbing toxins and bacteria.

     It is therefore recommended to fight against bad breath. But how to use it? Mix a teaspoon of charcoal in a glass of water and drink the preparation after each meal.

     You can also find vegetable charcoal in capsule form, but it is more effective to gargle with the charcoal than to swallow it whole.  

     Before using charcoal, however, it is advisable to take advice from your pharmacist who will be able to see, with you, if this product is well recommended for your health. Constipated people, for example, should avoid taking it.

5.     Turn to essential oils

     Finally, if none of these methods suit you, you can turn to essential oils.

     Here again, you will be spoilt for choice: put one or two drops of peppermint, lemon, tea tree, or lavender essential oils on your tongue before brushing your teeth or on your toothbrush and you will be sure to have fresh breath after each wash. Before a date, this tip is guaranteed to be risk-free.
