Marrakech Morocco: Guide, Travel & Tourism Medina

     For even more thrills, leave the mainland and fly away to discover Marrakech from the skies. Aboard a hot-air balloon, you will contemplate the pearl of southern Morocco, and let yourself be overwhelmed by the poetry of a balloon flight.

Playground mountain

     The ochre walls of Marrakech lean against the Atlas Mountains. These steep reliefs invite adventure: you can walk on their slopes, cross them with airlifts and you can also hurtle down from snowy peaks.

     For the most enduring, dare the ascent of Djebel Toubkal. Under the guidance of a guide, you crawl over the trails, you sleep in bivouac, finally, you reach the top of the mountain: the views of the surroundings are magnificent and reward you for your efforts!

      Adjacent to the Toubkal National Park, an eco-responsible nature reserve will welcome you with the largest aerial course in Africa. You will be full of sensations thanks to the zip lines, accro-branches and aerial bridge!

     The mountainous surroundings of Marrakech also give you the opportunity to indulge in the pleasures of skiing. Rising to 3200 meters, the Oukaïmeden ski area offers all the expected amenities and allows you to ski the day before, in the evening, to join the gentler atmosphere of Marrakech.

    Finally, 40 kilometers to the south of the city, the Lalla Takerkoust lake is an ideal playground for motorsports enthusiasts: quad biking and jet ski rides are organized there and guarantee their share of sensations.

     The hinterland of Marrakech is another world! Just a few minutes from the comforts of the city, you discover a wild but welcoming nature, wide-open spaces where you can spend your free time!

A dive into the effervescence of the souks of Marrakech

     A sinuous alley with stalls overflowing with food; an impression of abundance and the echo of lively negotiations to fill the air with a joyful noise: no doubt, you are in the middle of one of the famous souks of Marrakech!

     Within these markets, the arts of tradition are put in the spotlight. Pass under a door: you enter the souk of Semmarine, perhaps one of the most interesting in Morocco. 

     In its alleys, Amazigh and Arab handicrafts converge. Each has its stalls on which are spread out ornamented candles, earthenware and lighting fixtures.

     Elsewhere in the city, other markets set up their stalls. Go to the Attarine souk, dedicated to the work of brass: bronzed or gilded, they come in all shades, forming sumptuous tableware always delicately worked. 

     Further on, the tanners' and dyers' souk gives pride of place to leather of all kinds: slippers and leather goods invade the alleys bathed in the heady smell of tanned skins under the Moroccan sun.


     Marrakech is also that: a small concentrate of Moroccan craftsmanship! Browse from souk to souk and discover the treasures of everyday arts!

Charming Riads Marrakech

     Always located in the medina, these small charming Marrakech riads intoxicate us with a mixture of tradition and the past. As soon as the door crossed, you will be amazed by these places of serenity. The patios of these charming riads are very pleasant with fountains, lush vegetation and often a pool.

     The sunny terraces of these riads will also charm you; you can admire the view of Marrakech, feel the atmosphere and bask in the sun according to your desires with a good mint tea.
